Gina is located in Peterborough, Ontario. Each piece Gina creates is vibrantly colourful, made from reeds she custom dyes in her studio, and typically features beads, feathers, bark, and other found bits of nature. Harrowsmith Country Life featured Gina in the December 1999 issue in a how-to article on chair caning. As well as running her own business, Gina is active in the local arts & crafts community. She is an experienced and enthusiastic instructor who frequently conducts workshops, demonstrates at charity events, and goes into the schools to teach weaving to local children. workshops, and repairs & restoration to wicker and cane furniture.
In
June 2000, Gina was awarded an Excellence in Fibre Arts Award from
the Ontario Craft Council to continue to pursue her creative vision.
